Katie has been a licensed Massage Therapist since 2020. Before going to massage school, she worked as a medical assistant for 10 years. She incorporates her medical background into her massage treatments as needed. Katie lives a holistic lifestyle and loves helping her clients incorporate holistic changes into areas they may need or want guidance on.
Using this holistic approach in her practice, Katie's main job is to serve as a vessel for her clients to achieve their healing, just as the body was designed to do. She is Reiki-certified and enjoys working with clients to identify and address any blocked energy that may be hindering their healing process. Katie believes her massage room is a safe sanctuary where anyone is welcome and will be free of judgment. Any emotions or feelings that come up during a session are valid and welcome, and will be met with love and kindness. Katie's goal in every session is to listen to the client and really understand their goals for that session, whether that be relaxation or pain relief. She also works as a hospice massage therapist, giving her experience with all ages and many different medical conditions. She is certified in Manual Lymph Drainage and cupping, and feels both modalities can be very beneficial when indicated. In her free time, you will find her hanging out with her children and husband, or just being outside enjoying nature.
Any of Katie's services can be added to a session at no additional charge. These services include hot stones, cupping, facial cupping, abdominal cupping, Reiki, and manual lymph drainage. She also offers prenatal massages that feature a prenatal pillow that allows you to lie on your stomach safely, creating a comfortable, relaxing environment for moms-to-be.
Katie is currently working towards her certification as a Functional Nutrition Counselor and can't wait to incorporate that knowledge into her practice.
